Richard Robbins grew up in Luling, TX and graduated from Texas A&M University in 2001 with a degree in Agriculture Systems Manager and a minor in Finance. He currently lives in New Braunfels, TX with his wife Brittany and their daughter, Avery, and son, Clay.
After graduation, Richard worked as a manager of a local retail store and was promoted to Buyer/General Manager of three College Station locations. In this role, he gained his knowledge of cash flow management, profit and loss statements, and balance sheets.
In 2005, he joined a financial advisor group and earned his Group 1 Insurance License. Since then he earned his Series 65 making him an Investment Advisor Representative. Richard also earned his CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ designation through Texas A&M University.
Richard’s clients consist of small-medium sized business owners, clients with oil and gas interests and high net-worth estates. He believes in a holistic, team-based approach concentrating on cash flow management, liability protection, tax planning, and estate transfer. He feels that his ability to understand and interpret a company’s financial records provides him with a more customized approach when it comes to assembling a financial plan.
Richard places a high regard on service; you will often find him helping his clients with items that are normally outside the purview of a financial advisor. His values match Oakwell’s values and he brings a unique skill set to the team.
